Bentofix

Bentofix, a bentonite-type water shielding material developed by NAUE GmbH & Co. in Germany, is highly reputed as being the most reliable and ecologically friendly natural material in use around the world for water shielding of lakes, reservoirs, and underground infrastructure elements, and for preventing contamination at final waste disposal sites and the pollution of soil and underground water. NAUE obtained ISO9001 certification in 1994.

Bentofix consists of three or four layers of water shielding matte, sandwiching a layer of sodium bentonite between robust, flexible polypropylene woven and nonwoven geotextiles reinforced with two million needle-punch fiber to prevent leakage and ensure even distribution of the bentonite.

  • Semi-permanent water shielding material impervious to degradation
  • Self-repairing of holes and cracks occurring in the sealed water layer
  • Able to be nailed in place
  • Good adjustment to under-layer
  • Largest track record worldwide
  • Largest track record all over the world

Installation (Standard overlap: 20cm)

To install Bentofix, we recommend using appropriate safety equipment, such as a crane, etc. to suspend the product, applying a standard 20 cm overlap area. The overlap should be formed by spreading powder bentonite onto the overlap area, re-lapping, and adhering. No special skill is required.

Overlap

To join the sheets of Bentofix, we recommend applying 1 kg/m2 of bentonite powder as an adhesive to each sheet and ensuring that there are no wrinkles and folds.
