In October 2004, Marubeni Tetsugen established the Automobile Recycling Department which is promoting ELVs recycling business in line with ELVs Recycling Law enforced in January 2005.

A consortium represented by Marubeni Tetsugen was formed from the combination of the electric furnace mills and the dismantlers. It was approved by the car manufacturers to conduct an operation in recycling ELVs in terms of gWhole Sources Recycled h into a steel making raw material. The gAutomobile Pressh (so called Eco-Press), a product produced by a highly skilled and elaborate dismantling technical process developed jointly among a major electric furnace mill and a major car dismantler for gWhole Resources Recycledh of ELVs, consistently supplies to the electric furnace mills.

The promotion to have a highly skilled and elaborate dismantling technical process became popular among the dismantlers of the whole country complying with the law and to recycle ELVs in terms of g Whole Resources Recycled h will continue to be carried out.
